‘Chattels’ - a rather humble name for such a treasure trove in Chester!
I have had the pleasure and privilege to be a customer of Peter Griffiths and his son Paul for the past twenty-five years.
Peter has now retired but Paul, who has worked with his Dad since a teenager, has thankfully followed in his footsteps!

If like me, you take pleasure in supporting independent stores then you must visit Chattels. Don’t be surprised if you haven’t found them yet, even after over 20 years of trading because they are on City Road in Chester, which is not a typical retail area. Clever location though, lot of passing tourists from the station and lots of free on-road parking.
Testament to their superb professional customer service and knowledge is the fact that they have customers the length and breadth of the country, literally from Scotland to London. This is because as well as offering established quality brands like Ligne Roset, B&B Italia, Molteni, Cattelan Italia, Jesse to name but a few, they offer a bespoke design service to furnish your whole house. Not only this, they actually listen to your ideas and needs and offer honest advice, helping you make the right decision. Whether you need to visit several times to browse or make a choice immediately, they know your home is important to you.
Their showroom is always fresh and inviting, with fabulous examples of design led lighting, dining, living but as well as this, they deliver on their promise of delivery times and aftercare service.
Not that you could possibly ask for more but you do come away with the feel good factor of knowing that you are helping to keep a truly unique family business alive for years to come.
